2022 Junior Generals Volleyball K-2nd Grade Skills Sessions

What is the Program?

The program is designed to introduce BOYS AND GIRLS to volleyball who are currently enrolled in Kindergarten through 2nd grade for the 2023-2024 school year and live in the Anthony Wayne School District.

 

Each skills session is lead by coaches from our high school volleyball coaching staff and players from the current high school teams. Each session will focus on a different skill set as shared below. Focusing on the basics is to prepare them for the organized league beginning in 3rd grade.

 

Summer Session Details

  • Location: Anthony Wayne High School Main and Aux Gym
  • Week One
    • Tuesday June 6 @ 5:15pm-6:15pm - Focus on Passing
    • Wednesday June 7 @ 5:00pm-6:00pm - Focus on Setting
  • Week Two
    • Tuesday June 13 @ 5:00pm-6:00pm - Focus on Attacking
    • Wednesday June 14 @ 5:00pm-6:00pm - Focus on Serving
  • Week Three
    • Tuesday June 20 @ 5:00pm-6:00pm - Focus on Blocking & Serve Receive
    • Wednesday June 21 @ 5:00pm-6:00pm - Focus on Defense
  • Week Four
    • Tuesday June 27 @ 5:00pm-6:00pm - Focus on Game Play
    • Wednesday June 28 @ 5:00pm-6:00pm - Focus on Game Play

 

What to know

Volleyballs will be provided. Wear athletic clothing. Bring clean tennis shoes and a water bottle.

 

Program Fees - $80/child

Program fees includes volleyball t-shirt, FREE admission to the AWHS Volleyball Match vs St. Ursula on August 31st, liability insurance, coaches background checks, and gym rental fees.
